View Equipment Import Results and Error Messages
When you import an Excel spreadsheet, the results and errors (if any) display in the Import Results screen. The results display in the top section of the screen and include the following information:
- New Items Added: Indicates the number of new sites, areas and equipment that were added with this import.
- Duplicates Skipped: Indicates items that were skipped (not added) because they are duplicates. Duplicate sites and areas are always skipped. Duplicate equipment is skipped according to your decision about duplicate equipment records on the previous screen. (See Import Equipment Hierarchy.)
- Errors: Indicates the number of errors in the import data for each of the categories. Error details are shown in the bottom of the screen and include the row on which the error occurred, the reason for the error, and the equipment details from the import file. Most data that contains errors is not imported. If the error is for duplicate equipment, however, the software either imports or skips that data record depending on your decision on the previous screen.
- Totals: Indicates the total number of items for each category (includes new, skipped and errors data).
Use the buttons at the bottom of the screen to either import another data file or to return to the Setup Equipment Hierarchy page.
