Using Scannable Equipment Codes

Conveniently retrieve documents by means of a scannable code on the equipment.

The overall process is as follows:

1. (Setup) Add the code to the equipment definition in the LINK360 web software. To edit equipment, see Add or Edit Sites, Areas, or Equipment. To edit multiple codes, see Bulk Equipment Update.

2. (Setup) Use other software to create a label with the scannable code and affix it to the equipment. For barcodes, use Code 128 to create the barcode.

3. Install the Brady Smart Lockout app on a mobile device and log in with your LINK360 user name and password.
4. Whenever you need a lockout procedure for this piece of equipment, use the Brady Smart Lockout app to scan the code on the equipment. The app retrieves all lockout procedures for that equipment.
